Sectional doors are the most widely used upward-acting doors today. They are typically constructed of four or more hinged sections which are raised or lowered with the assistance of a  spring counterbalance. Sectional doors are guided open and closed by continuous tracks on each side of the jambs that allow the door to move upward resting horizontally above the opening, or at an angle along the wall above the opening.

Sectional doors can accommodate a wide range of applications including loading docks, vehicle maintenance bays, fire stations and many others. They offer many glazing options and many product lines can be equipped with a pedestrian pass door. We offer several types including insulated, non-insulated, aluminum, and special application doors.

Rolling doors consist of interlocking slats either curved or flat in design. End caps are attached to the slats to prevent any lateral movement of the slats and guides steer the curtain up and down into its proper position. The spring is housed in a barrel and it is enclosed in a hood along with the portion of the curtain that is up.

Different lines offer several mounting methods to accommodate any space considerations.  They are especially useful when there is limited headroom or when the track of a sectional door would interfere with the normal traffic in the area.

Typically, they are specified in galvanized steel with a rust inhibiter applied with the prime paint and a baked on finish to face the weather. A powder coat finish in several colors is also available for the standard steel slats. Slats are also available in aluminum and stainless steel to accommodate special requirements.

Fire doors can be supplied by Overhead Door Corporation to meet and exceed all of the industry standards for fire doors. These doors are available with the standard rolling door options in slats, paints, and materials. Aluminum slats are the only exception; they are unavailable in the fire doors.

The fire door differs from the standard rolling door. It is equipped with a fusible link which is designed to fuse at 165°F. This fusing triggers an automatic closing of the door under governed control. Sections of your building can in this way be automatically segregated in the event of a fire.

Brush seals are available to aid in smoke retardation when this is a concern. Several product lines offer different levels of protection and all of these doors are as functional as the typical rolling doors. Several series of doors are available as counter doors and many are available with glazing options.

Counter doors by Overhead Door Corporation are ideal for many applications such as cafeterias, cashiers, pharmacies, parts and tool rooms, or ticket windows. These doors are available in all of the standard colors, finishes, and materials. In addition, we offer a designer line of wood roll up doors that express the quality and image of the roll top desk. These doors are available in pine, red oak, birch, white oak or a custom wood of your choice.

As with all of our other doors, Overhead Door Corporation offers operator controls for almost every application. It is recommended that pressure sensitive edges be installed to prevent entrapment under these motorized applications.

Security grilles  afford the protection and security of any standard door but add the airy ‘feeling’ of a ‘screen’ door. They afford adequate opportunity for your customers to view your products while you are not on site and a free flow of air through the curtain. Available in eleven different grille designs, and both vertical and side folding curtains, you can create whatever atmosphere you desire.

Clear lexan panels can be added to secure the premises from debris or theft if the curtain is close to your displays. Standard material for our grilles is 5/16” aluminum anodized stock, however, some grilles can be manufactured in 5/16” stainless steel for added security.

For dock equipment, W. B. McGuire is a subsidiary company. Visit their site to explore their product lines.
